Jennifer Carpenter’s character on Dexter has come out with her feelings for her foster brother. Debra is in love with Dexter. It’s unexpected, coming after all these years. And more so, because the two actors involved has just made their divorce finalized, wouldn’t it be hard for them to work under this new premise?
The actress said in a magazine interview that it’s important for actors to separate their personal life and professional life. And she’d like to believe that Michael C. Hall and her have done a good job protecting their relationship before and even when they got their divorce.
She says further, “I would like to reassure all Dexter fans that the show is and always has been paramount.”
She insists that the actor and him remain good friends despite everything, thus they can continue to work comfortably with each other.
The actress also says that working on the show has been a commitment. “I need to make sure that I’m taking roles that I feel like I can communicate through.”
The last two seasons of Dexter that’s coming up is seen as the show’s end game, and we now have an idea where this will start with — Debra finding out her brother is a killer, and realizing she is in love with him.
