With Dexter Season 6 over and filming of Season 7 isn’t going to start until middle of this year, Jennifer Carpenter is free to do other projects and has expressed that she would want to guest star in the comedy series “Modern Family”.
In an interview with Parade Magazine, the actress said that she thinks being on that show’s set would be a lot of fun and it’s probably going to be a blast just to hang-out.
The actress, who is starring in what can be considered a long-running series, did not expect Dexter to run this long. She did not even expect to stick with a TV show, as she was more interested in pursuing films before.
She says that she loves the whole “open-endedness” of her show and that she gets to work with lots of wonderful actors year after year. She has learned a lot from acting doing her series, but she thinks she should branch out to the comedy genre or do straight dramas next time and if given the opportunity.
The actress has recently come to the defense of how Dexter Season 6 has ended, putting her character, Debra, in the forefront of the story, as being actually in love with Dexter.
