Former Dexter cast member David Ramsey has just signed on the new TV series “Arrow”, which is an adaptation of the life of the superhero Green Arrow. If all goes well, the new series will air next fall on The CW and Ramsey is expected to play the role of John Diggle who is described as a former military man hired to protect Oliver. Oliver, if you didn’t know, is the alter-ego of the superhero. The character is going to be played by Stephen Amell, who was just cast last week.
The new series is produced and written by Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim, and between them, they have a string of TV show hits already.
The series is described as “very provocative and sophisticated and edgy.” And it won’t be as comic book-ish as Smallville or any other type of series about super heroes you’ve already seen on television.
Green Arrow isn’t actually born ith superpowers but has the skill and the means to carry out vigilante acts and save the world.
We’re quite excited to see how this show is going to progress come fall of this year!
